About Our Company

Johnson Lumber was founded in 1977 by brothers Robert, Ronald and David Johnson, along with father Harold, with the goal to create a sawmill to build pallets and hay wagons. Robert and Ronald Johnson, the youngest of nine children, continue to operate the mill today. Through their tireless dedication, hard work and courageous decision making, Johnson Lumber has grown to become an industry leader using state-of-the-art technology and a highly skilled team. Johnson Pine was created as a brand name for our Pre-Finished Pine, underneath the Johnson Lumber umbrella.

Throughout the years, although operations have shifted with time, demand and technology, our mission remains the same – provide high quality lumber with excellent service, continue to grow the business, and continue to explore new avenues and markets.

“Do not follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and make a trail.”   -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Meet Our Team

Robert Johnson

Partner

My brother and I started the business as teenagers, it is unbelievable how blessed we are. My wife, Pam, and I have two daughters who are now part of the business.

When not at work, you can find me in my workshop, on my boat or on the golf course. My favorite time is the time spent with my family, especially my four grandchildren.

While still in High School, my brother and I started a sawmill and never gave up. Through the good times, and the hard times, we stuck with it. I have two sons, one of which is now part of the business and other a successful lineman.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time on my boat, golfing and snowmobiling. Spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren, is the time I love most.
