Grade Comparison
At Johnson Pine, we believe the reason our Eastern White Pine is so popular is due to its natural beauty and character. However, as it is a natural product the characteristics of the pine can have subtle variations that may impact the look and feel of the finished product. We grade these characteristics in order to easily distinguish between each finished product.
Which Grade is Right for You?
Standard Grade
Standard Grade includes the perfect amount of knots and traditional Adirondack character, while still offering Johnson Pine’s Empire Clear Coat finish and End-Matching. While being an affordable option, our Standard Grade limits waste to under 5% and gives the same quality Johnson Pine has become known for.

Premium Grade
Premium Grade boasts a nearly perfect product with practically no waste, that includes beautiful knots and character. This grade endures a rigorous grading process, only the most “Premium” grade passes. These boards are End-Matched, available in 9 colors and 3 patterns.
